We are seeking a passionate individual to provide targeted professional development for Head Start and Early Head Start classroom staff and family childcare contractors including ongoing positional support, data analysis, daily project management, and communication.
With a commitment to positive professional relationships through on-the-job guidance and support, Mentors take initiative in fostering a plan for success while allowing the mentee(s) to take responsibility for their own personal growth, development, and accomplishment.

Bachelor's degree in early education or related field and three (3) to (5) years of related experience including teaching.
An equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered.
Excellent working knowledge of Head Start program and services as well as community organizations, resources, and services.
Solid understanding of state and federal laws, regulations, licensing, and other program related compliance requirements.
Knowledge of training best practices and developmentally appropriate practices for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
Experience working with diverse populations.
Ability to develop strong and positive working relationships both internally and externally.
Exceptional professionalism required.
Strong leadership skills to motivate, lead and develop staff and contractors in a positive and inclusive manner.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook and/or adaptability to learn software and database program, web based client applications, virtual connectivity, and Agency specific programs.
Works independently toward assigned objectives.
Uses good judgement to plan work and set priorities.
Seeks advice on nonstandard situations.
Must be able to maintain privacy and confidentiality with controlled access to data where disclosure would have an adverse impact on an employee, client and/or community partner.
Ability to regularly work with processes where accuracy, timeliness and attention to detail are required.
Ability to successfully assign, instruct, and check the work of three or more staff being mentored in a lower classification or engaged in like or related work.
